紫藤别名藤萝，豆科、紫藤属，落叶攀援缠绕性大藤本植物。干皮深灰色，不裂；春季开花，青紫色蝶形花冠，花紫色或深紫色。花期4月中旬至5月上旬，果期5-8月。产河北以南黄河长江流域及陕西、河南、广西、贵州、云南。
