黄炎培故居，内史第最里面的庭院，一个川沙人的传奇人生
作者：心天翁川沙内史第的第二个庭院，是一个“U”字形的2层砖木结构的建筑。这里是黄炎培出生、生活了20年的地方，现在为黄炎培事迹展示宣传场所。

陈云题写的“黄炎培故居”。这条狭长的通道是第一个庭院与第二个庭院之间的通道，远端人行的地方是出口及出口处的停车场。
这里把内史第一分为二，南侧立本堂的第一个庭院和沿街2层建筑，都是后来复建的，因修路导致内史第变窄，复建时还少建了一堵围墙。北侧的黄炎培故居，才是内史第仅存的原貌。

一楼正厅展示了著名的“窑洞对”，也称“延安对”。是60多岁的黄炎培为推动国共团结商谈，应邀飞赴延安访问时，毛泽东主席邀其在窑洞里谈了一个下午，其中政权周期论是黄炎培提出并担忧的。

黄炎培1878年10月1日出生在川沙内史第，年少时失去了父母，受姑父沈树镛的影响很大。一个是姑父“汉石经室”里大量的碑帖、典籍，一个是姑父的爱国主义情怀，都激励着黄炎培奋发上进。
